What is Insights?
Insights helps you understand 2 metrics by date range:
- The output of my digital factory
- The activity with my customers
Below we'll look at how the metrics are calculated.
Insights contains 2 subsections: Digital Factory and Customers.
To access your digital factory dashboard visit Account > Insights > Digital Factory.
Activity by Type
The date range selected compares the exact output from the same days in the previous date range. The percentage calculations shows whether the output was higher or lower vs. the same period prior.
Created & Published Resources
Created resources shows content, places, promotions, layouts and widgets that were created during the date range and published live in a site.
Activity by User
The activity by user provides an indicator of productivity of all the people with digital factory roles and what digital resources passed through workflows to published in a channel. Darker colors correspond to greater activity within the date range.
Activity by Resource
Activity by resource shows the actions by date range associated with different types of digital resources. The purpose is to show which types of digital resources are being used within a specific time period.
To access your Customer Insights go to Account > Insights > Customers.
Customer activity can be filtered in a specific channel by selecting the "Site" as well as by specific "Targets". If you want to look at the activity generated by specific customer segments create a target and then return to your Insights.

The metric shown is the "Unique Opens" to "Reach". Email and notifications that were opened at least once by the total customers the campaign was sent.
The metric shows the previous five forms and the total number of form submissions.
Engagement is measured by dividing the number of total active customers with at least 1 log during the time period and the number of customers that generated 2 or more logs in the same period. By moving your mouse over the shaded area, you'll see the number of engaged customers / total customers.
