Update (December 5, 2025, 17:30 UTC): Cloudflare has published the official explanation of the incident that affected 30% of its network early this morning.
Dear Customers,
Early this morning, between 08:56 UTC and 09:20 UTC, Cloudflare experienced a platform outage that affected our Modyo Cloud and Enterprise Cloud services. As reported on their official status page (and corroborated by our internal monitoring), the incident has been completely resolved, and operations are currently running normally.
The incident stemmed from a change Cloudflare deployed to their Web Application Firewall (WAF) configuration to mitigate a recent industry-wide vulnerability regarding React Server Components. Unfortunately, this security update resulted in temporary network unavailability, affecting access to our platforms.
Incident Details:
Impact: Service intermittency and connection errors for multiple customers.
Security: Cloudflare has officially confirmed that this was not a cyberattack, but rather a side effect of a proactive security update.
The provider has now corrected the configuration, and our systems are stable. We continue to monitor performance to ensure service quality.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Sincerely,
José Antonio Silva
CTO, Modyo
